IMC Club at PWK – Go/No-Go Weather decisions-PVD to SYR – Rex Alexander
August 28 @ 18:30 - 19:30
You want to make a trip from Providence, RI, to Syracuse, NY, in your Piper Arrow. It’s only about an hour and 35 minutes. You want to leave early since you aren’t night proficient. Will the weather give us what we want, or at least what we need?
Rex Alexander is president of Five-Alpha (5α) LLC, a global consultancy dedicated to providing specialized education, training, insight, and services in the very challenging and unique communities of Helicopter and Vertical Lift Infrastructure and Organ/Tissue Donation & Transplantation.
The IMC Club:
IMC Club’s purpose is to promote instrument flying, proficiency, and safety. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share their perspective, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, and build proficiency in instrument flying. An IFR rating is not needed to participate, student pilots and airline captains alike are invited. We think through the various options from the comfort of your chair, firmly on the ground… before it is you sitting in the cockpit.
We meet monthly when pilots (and would-be pilots) network and share knowledge and experiences to keep our head in the game.
Sponsored by Chicago Executive Pilots Association (CEPA).
If you aren’t a member of CEPA, please consider joining CEPA if you aren’t a member and like programs like this, please visit us at www.PWKpilots.org/membership/ Your dues help pay for these safety seminars.
NOTE: There is a Safety Meeting following this one. Each has a separate registration. Please join us for both but be sure to register for both separately. Also, register here for the CEPA Safety Meeting.
