DESCRIPTION:VMC Club Monthly Meeting at PWK – Michael Baraz – Snow Everywhere! – CEPA annual business meeting\nTopic: Getting low on fuel and nowhere to land! What would you do?\n\nIt’s a beautiful winter day and you have set off on a short cross country trip. You planned a fuel stop and alternates but NOTAM’s were not issued where they should have been. You’re in the air\, unable to land and getting low on fuel\, what would you do? \nIn this month’s IMC Club meeting\, we will be discussing PIC decision making\, situational awareness and cross country planning. \nAttendees are welcome and encourages to attend the annual CEPA business meeting which will take place after the VMC club. The meeting will include a presentation from local PWK Operations coordinator Norm Mackey and we will also have a chance to meet and welcome in the new PWK airport director Jeff Miller. \nSpeaker bio: Michael Baraz is an accomplished pilot holding an Airline Transport Pilot rating\, MEL and most recently\, his CFI. Michael also founded a STEM Aviation program at Lindbloom Math and Science Academy. He flies Angel flights and Pilots ‘n’ Paws missions regularly in his own Mooney M20k. DESCRIPTION:Our CEPA by-laws call for 2 year terms for our 4 Officers and 1 year terms for 5 Directors. This November\, you will be asked to vote for 5 Directors to continue the organization’s work.\nThe Nominating Committee published their request for members willing to serve in the September\, 2021\, newsletter. The slate has been prepared and will be presented to the Board at the October 4th meeting. The approved slate will be sent to every voting member via email\, in the November newsletter\, and ballots will be accepted and counted at the Annual Meeting on November 10th. Ballot will be sent to all members at least 10 days prior to the Annual Meeting.
